IDAHO DISABILITY DETERMINATIONS SERVICES (DDS)
The Idaho Disability Determinations Services (DDS) performs the medical adjudication for Social Security Administration (SSA) disability claims for the citizens of the State of Idaho. The DDS is looking for psychiatrists, psychologists and PAs throughout Idaho to conduct consultative examinations of adults or children that will assist to determine whether the person is disabled. Dr. Root earned her master's degree and PhD in counseling psychology from Northern Arizona University. She worked in a variety of settings in both Flagstaff and Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Boise to gain licensure and pursue private practice.
Tandy began his training at Indiana University, earning a bachelor's
degree in philosophy, and a master’s degree in counseling psychology
from a behaviorally based department. He then earned a master’s and a
PhD in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University. He has
worked in many settings across the country, including private practice
and consulting in California, Oregon and Washington, before settling in Boise.

FULL-TIME PSYCHOLOGIST OPENING IN BOISE AREA
Saint Alphonsus Rehabilitation Services (STARS) is seeking a full-time Psychologist to join our comprehensive transdisciplinary outpatient neuro team. Our treatment team includes speech, occupational, and physical therapists as well as a neuropsychologist, social work, case management, and physiatry. Duties would include intake evaluations, neuropsychological testing, and psychotherapy. Interest and experience in both assessment and therapy are necessary. We are looking for a team-oriented, flexible, and dedicated individual to work with a diverse patient population. We work with patients recovering from traumatic brain injuries, strokes, as well as other neurological and psychological conditions. Opportunities also exist for assistance with sports medicine/concussion management. Our Brain Injury Program is CARF accredited. We are an integral component of St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center’s neuro continuum of care which includes a Stroke Certified Center and Level II Trauma Center. Applicants should hold a doctorate from an APA accredited university and have completed an APPIC accredited internship. A postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology is preferable, but not required.
