An IPA First!
IPA's first ever Get Psyched for Advocacy:  Psychology Day at the Capitol was January 14.  Members served breakfast and casually chatted with legislators about the proposed licensure rules for prescribing psychologists and the state of mental health in Idaho.   See photos.   A HUGE THANKS to Kris Ellis and all members who helped on the event!

RxP Update
The proposed licensure rules relevant to prescribing psychologists in Idaho passed both legislative Health & Welfare Committees.  They will be added to an omnibus package voted on by the full legislature and go into effect when the legislative session concludes in early spring.

Proposed RxP Rules - updated Dec 2018

RxP Law - passed April 2017

The new Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology program at Idaho State University is set to start Fall 2019.  Here's info on the program.   A new training director, Dr. Eric Silk from Wyoming, has been hired.  Former IPA president, Dr. Page Haviland, is working for ISU as a consultant on the program.  Both are IPA members!
